| Customer Reviews: Quality but getting the right fit is hard. August 9, 2010 Peter Roxburgh (Dorset, UK) I bought this recently for my 18-200mm Sigma lens, which comes with a lens hood.
The product itself, as you would expect from Lowepro is excecellent. There is plenty of padding, the zip is easy to open (though not silent) and there is space on the top of the case for memory cards etc.
However, I am still uncertain what lenses it will fit. My 18-200mm lens did fit in, including the lens hood (attached backwards so it isn't 'sticking out' in front - or whatever the technical term is). However, it was not snug and was rather loose. This doesn't mean that it wouldn't do the job, it probably wasn't ideal.
I would suggest that if you are looking for a lens case, my suggestion is pop down to your local camera store with said lens and try the various lens cases that they have.
If you know that this is the lens case for you then I highly recommend it.
Lens Case February 12, 2010 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this case for my Nikon 18-200 VR11 lens. The Lens fits perfectly and the case is just large enough to be able to get the lens out quickly. It does say in the blurb that "silent zipper pulls reduce noise when on location or out in nature" the pulls may be silent but the zipper certainly is not. Well made as one would expect from Lowepro. No shoulder strap however which makes you wonder what the two lugs are for.
Good for Canon 17-55 EF S 2.8mm December 11, 2009 Mrs. Jane Hawkes (Lancashire) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Typical Lowepro quality case - well made, well padded, and a good price. It fits my Canon 17-55 EF-S 2.8mm with filter and (reversed) Canon lens hood EW-83J: a reassuringly snug fit width-wise, but just a little tight (but still zip-upable) length wise. Good protection for valuable lenses.

Excellent product. It has just been on a walking holiday and put in a case and then a rucksack. It certainly looked after a valuable wide-angled lens.
