Ideal for Canon 70-200mm F4 April 28, 2010 K. Bates 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am using a Canon 7D with 70-200mm F4 lens attached and it fits in the case perfectly. There is even room to put a compact wide angle lens in the front pocket. Ideal when I don't want to lug my Lowepro backpack around.
perfect for walking April 4, 2010 Dr. D. K. Gemmell (Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I do a lot of walking holidays and I need a light but robust easily accessable camera bag for my new Canon 7d and its Zoom lens. This proved a brilliant buy meaning virtually no hold ups during walks to take out and replace the camera. Thanks Lowepro
These cases have grown with my camera March 12, 2010 MintMark (Hampshire, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Lowepro do three sizes of topload zoom cases and over time I have bought and used all three. This is the largest and it accommodates my Canon 50D with any of my lenses attached, sometimes with a hood in place. I upgraded to the zoom 2 case after getting a 200mm lens. These cases are great for walking around; you can have the case over your shoulder and the camera is easy to remove and replace. The inside has two padded shoulders (adjustable with velcro) that support the body, so all the weight is not on the end of the lens (or hood). The outside pocket is good for a few accessories, but I wouldn't carry another lens in it. I have used another topload zoom case to carry lenses in though!
I looked at other types of cases, the backpacks and the satchels with all the compartments. They seem good for transporting more gear around, but none of them are really set up for quick access to a camera with a longish lens attached. The topload zoom cases manage that very well.
Exudes Quality! December 15, 2009 Mobiscum (Jersey, CI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had a few false starts looking for a 'walkaround' bag for my EOS 7D, but this fits the bill admirably. Generally I have my 17-85mm IS USM on the camera and I can then put another lens in the side pocket, like my 100mm USM Macro (although it has little protection). There is also another pocket inside for things like lens cloths and batteries, etc., which adds to its versatility.
If you need a compact bag that has enough space for an accessory or two (but not the kitchen sink), then this is for you. Well constructed and quite rugged (but sadly, not fully waterproof). In short; a quality item from a manufacturer that deserves their reputation as being the best.
Lowepro spoiled the ship for a ha'porth of tar December 12, 2009 P. Evans (France) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a good bag. Ideal for a medium size DSLR and a medium zoom (e.g. an 18-200). However, it's one failing is the lack of a protector cloth under the zip-top (as supplied on, for example, Lowepro's Slingbag range). Without this it's easy to get scratches on the camera's LCD screen if you shove the camera in the bag with a strap attached. For me, this is a small but very important oversight on Lowepro's part and knocks two stars off my potential rating.
