I bought this strap because the one provided for my Canon camera slips off my shoulder every minute. This so called non-slip strap slips off every two minutes - so I suppose it's a small improvement on what I had!

THe Lowepro Transporter Strap is an excellent upgrade to the shoulder strap included with your camera. The big benefit is a free moving padded area on the strap that can move along the main strap. This padded section has a silicon print which grips your collar or Neck; the addition of the padding makes this far more comfortable on long walks than the straps provided with my Canon slrs. As with the Lowepro Transporter Camera Strap For Digital SLR there are fast release catches to let you remove the strap from your camera when you are using it on a tripod (or your desk). The catches are the same on both straps if you need two sets of them; as lowepro don't seem to sell them separately. On the strap is a Compact Flash memory case; as my cameras all use CF cards its quite handy as i always know there is a spare card on the strap; regardless of the camera -- and I don't need to open my bag to find it.
Its excellent value and a great upgrade if you tour with your slr.

Well worth the money, quick release works really well,
very handy for tripod work. Only critiscism is that the shoulder
pad claims to be non-slip - my example definetly isn't!! Apart
from that, excellent value.

I was looking for a replacement for the Nikon strap supplied with my D90 as the Nikon material felt harsh against the skin on my neck when used with a T-Shirt over a longish period.
The Lowepro Transporter shoulder pad material is far softer so doesn't cause the problem and in addition the strap is easier to adjust for length say from wearing across the shoulder to round the neck. Additionally the Quick Release feature means I can remove the strap quickly when using a tripod so there is no danger of hooking anything into the strap and accidentally pulling the tripod over.
I have removed the supplied card pouch as I found it got in the way (hence only 4 stars) but keep it separate in my bag with cards enclosed - makes it easier to quickly lay my hands on spare cards.
I thought the QR feature might not be secure but so far no problems at all.

Do not buy this stap. Like a previous reviewer I have always used and appreciated Lowepro products but this is badly designed, flimsy and should be avoided. I was printing out my return label within 5 minutes of opening the box!
